Purpose:

On 13 December 2018 the Grants Advisory Committee considered a report containing officer recommendations for awards from the Service Support Grant Fund for 2019-2022, with reasons for recommendations, background and considerations.  All 17 applications received were outlined in an appendix to the report. 

 

Following consideration, the Committee recommended to the Finance Portfolio Holder that the following awards be made, subject to agreement by Council on budget, and subject to annual funding agreements with the organisations concerned:

To accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee (see above).

Reasons for the decision:

The Grants Advisory Committee considered the report in detail and were satisfied that the recommendations had been made on the basis of a thorough, fair and transparent process.

Alternative options considered:

·                     To award an alternative amount of funding to any of the applicant organisations, including zero funding, or

·                     To defer a decision if further information is required from grant applicants.
