A New Website for South Cambridgeshire

Our Business Support team is working on a new website to promote everything there is to see and do in South Cambridgeshire, to support the local economy by encouraging tourists to visit the area and local people to spend more time in the district. 

 

Ahead of the site’s launch in the autumn, the team is inviting local businesses and event organisers to secure a free listing by submitting information and photos online via a short questionnaire.  

 

If you run a hospitality, leisure or tourism business, or a local green space or event, please visit www.VisitSouthCambs.co.uk to create your free listing for: 

·         parks, open spaces and cultural attractions 

·         zoos, activity centres and places to visit 

·         pubs, restaurants, cafés and places to stay 

·         independent shops offering gifts, local produce and essentials 

·         places for wellbeing, health and beauty services 

·         plus local events and outdoor markets.

According to the LGA, licensing laws need to be updated to give councils the power to consider the public health impact of licensing decisions.

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.

 

 

 

Executive Decisions Taken Since Wednesday 4 August 2021

In accordance with the Access to Information Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution, any executive decision shall be published normally within five days of being made.  That record will bear the date on which it is published and will specify that the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of 5 working days after the publication of the decision, unless called in for review by the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee or by any five other councillors.

Foxton Neighbourhood Plan - Making (adopting) the Neighbourhood Plan

Under delegated powers the Chief Executive agreed to adopt the Foxton Neighbourhood Plan. This decision will reported to the next meeting of Council on 23 September 2021.
