Committee details

The Planning Portfolio Holder has responsibility for:

   Building Control

   Business and Employment

   Design and Conservation

   Development Control

   Economic Development

   Procurement and Efficiency

   Transport initiatives (including Concessionary Fares)

   Travel for Work

Meetings are open to the public and all members of the Council are invited to attend; Scrutiny and Overview Committee Monitors and Opposition Spokesmen receive specific invitations to all meetings, but attendance is not mandatory.  Only the Portfolio Holder has the authority to make any decisions, and only the Portfolio Holder’s presence, or the Leader’s presence if the Portfolio Holder is unable to attend, is required for the meeting to be quorate.
