The purpose of this decision is to provide approval of the Modern Slavery Statement, which has been produced in accordance with the authority’s duties under the Modern Slavery Act, 2015.

The statement sets out the actions and steps the Council will take through its policies, processes and procedures to understand, prevent and act against modern slavery and human trafficking through our supply chains and activities.

To allow the actions taken within the statement to be progress to tackle modern slavery and support victims, the publication of the Modern Slavery Statement through the Council’s website (as is required) and to meet the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act, 2015.
