Following the designation of a new Conservation Area by the Portfolio Holder using her delegated powers, the Little Gransden Conservation Area Planning Guidance must be adopted as Council Policy
To utilise the Portfolio Holder’s delegated authority (as agreed by Cabinet on 10th November 2005 and Council on 24th November 2005) to approve the designation of a Conservation Area at Little Gransden, together with the approval of the draft appraisal, and to take a report to Cabinet seeking the adoption of the appraisal as Council policy (subject to incorporation of the changes outlined in the report presented to the Conservation Advisory Group).
1. The quality of the village environment warrants the establishment of a Conservation Area.
2. The proposed boundaries for the Conservation Area are appropriate.
Option 1
To utilise the Portfolio Holder’s delegated authority to approve the designation of a Conservation Area at Little Gransden, together with the approval of the draft appraisal, and to take a report to Cabinet seeking the adoption of the appraisal as County Policy (subject to incorporation of the changes outlined in the report presented to the Conservation Advisory Group). Option 2
To require officers to prepare a revised draft appraisal incorporating revisions to the boundaries of the proposed Conservation Area. Disagree
