Cabinet

(a)               APPROVED the draft Corporate Plan for the purposes of consultation, subject to the following amendments:

(i)                 deletion of the action “Install solar panels on council housing stock” from the third aim, following the government’s recent change to the feed-in tariff timescales and withdrawal from the project of the company which had been working with the Council; and

(ii)                addition of the action “Continue support for community orchards, hedgerows, tree-planting and other conservation area enhancement projects” to the third aim; and

(b)               INVITED the Scrutiny and Overview Committee to comment on the draft prior to it being brought back to Cabinet and Council for final approval in February 2011.
