Non Domestic Rates Discretionary Relief Policy - adoption of revised policy to include estate agents, letting agents, employment agencies and betting shops
The Chief Finance Officer AGREED to adopt an updated version of the Discretionary Business Rate Relief Policy due to an instruction from the Government to allow Estate Agents, Employment Agencies, Letting Agents and Betting Shops to be entitled to the Expanded Retail Discount Scheme.
Please note that the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee and Chairman of Council agreed to this decision being treated as a matter of urgency and that it should be exempt from call in by virtue of Scrutiny Procedure Rule 12.18 – 12.19. This means that the decision can be implemented immediately.
