Noted the developers’ consultation report at Appendix A, affirmed the developers’ consultation process and agreed the outcomes of the developer-led consultation which concludes that “Waterbeach” should be the name of the new settlement in Waterbeach Parish, and that this will be inclusive of the existing village.

Minutes:

Cabinet received a report on naming the new town at Waterbeach. Councillor Bill Handley, Lead Cabinet Member for Community Resilience, Health and Wellbeing, introduced the report, noting the name of Waterbeach New Town following the public consultation would be ‘Waterbeach’, Councillor Dr. Tumi Hawkins, Lead Cabinet Member for Planning Policy and Delivery thanked the residents for identifying the name of the new development, and the collective identity for the two settlements.

 

After a very short discussion, Councillor Neil Gough closed the item and Cabinet:
