Impact of Covid-19 to current Zero Carbon Communites (ZCC) projects pdf icon PDF 29 KB

Additional documents:

Minutes:

It was noted that the projects of both Cambridge Sustainable Food and Cambridge Carbon Footprint had been significantly impacted by COVID-19, and as such had been granted extensions to their project deadlines.

·       Cambridge Carbon Footprint’s project was to complete for 22 June 2021, one year after the project commencement.

·       Cambridge Sustainable Food’s project was to complete in September 2021.

It was indicated that the Teversham e-bike project had encountered some complex planning issues with regards to their bike lockers, as such the promotion event had also been delayed until late summer. Members also noted that the Papworth Trust Owl Bike repair shops would now be launched in the autumn of 2020.

Members noted that officers were considering how much support would need to be given to applicants for the next tranche that were received, such as housing and planning advice in light of the issues that had occurred.

Officers remarked that while some projects would have to be delayed as a result of COVID-19, others could progress regardless and as such, should be encouraged to accelerate that.

All members in attendance issued their thanks for all the hard work that officers had put in to deal with and progress applications in new and unprecedented circumstances.

The report was noted by the Grants Advisory Committee.
