Minutes:

The committee noted the reports on the Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB), Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service (CCVS) and the Care Network.

 

It was commented that all three organisations were on track with regards to their provided services and there were no issues highlighted.

 

Farmland Museum

 

It was suggested that the Farmland Museum make contact with the National Farming Union (NFU) with regard to procuring additional funding.

 

It was agreed that Peter McDonald & Anna Bradnam would approach the NFU & Country Landowners Association on their behalf. It was noted that Anna Bradnam was a trustee of the NFU.

 

It was agreed that Peter McDonald would liaise with Visit Cambridge with a view to improving the Farmland Museum’s use of the site.

 

It was agreed to add a section on the Community Chest webpage to state that the Council ‘strongly recommends’ that all applicants subscribe to the CCVS service.

 

The Chairman issued a statement to thank Gemma Barron for all of her work (and the team) during her time at the council.
