The business rates revaluation, due to take place next year in England, will instead be put back to 2022, the Minister of Housing, Communities and Local Government said.

 

Friday 8 May, BBC Online: Coronavirus: UK “must prioritise green economic recovery”

An open letter to Boris Johnson from a range of businesses, including Iceland Foods, Barratt Developments, The Body Shop, Ben and Jerry’s, the RSPB, the National Trust and Greenpeace UK has urged the Government to priorities a green UK economic recovery following the coronavirus crisis.

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.

 

 

 

EXECUTIVE DECISIONS TAKEN SINCE WEDNESDAY 6 MAY 2020

In accordance with the Access to Information Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution, any executive decision shall be published normally within five days of being made.  That record will bear the date on which it is published and will specify that the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of 5 working days after the publication of the decision, unless called in for review by the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee or by any five other councillors.

Transfer of Community Assets Policy

Cabinet AGREED the Council Tax Discretionary Reduction 13a Policy as set out in Appendix B to the report from the Head of Finance.

Shared Services Business Plans

Cabinet AGREED to authorise the Shared Services Management Board to approve the final amendments to the Business Plans set out in the appendices, namely:

·         3C ICT

·         3C Legal

·         Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service

·         Internal Audit

·         Greater Cambridge Shared Waste Service

In line with comments received from all three partner councils.

Community Chest Grants

The Lead Member for Finance AGREED to award a number of Community Grants, as recommended by the Grants Advisory Committee on 24 April.

 

Villages affected are: Balsham, Cambourne, Comberton, Coton, Duxford, Great Chishill, Great Shelford, Kingston, Longstanton, Over, Waterbeach, Willingham

 

This decision was first published on Thursday 7 May and so cannot be implemented until the call-in period expires on Friday 15 May at 5pm (a day later than usual due to the bank holiday).
