Work begins next month to upgrade our streetlights to low-energy LEDs Works to upgrade all South Cambridgeshire District Council standard streetlights to low-energy LEDs will begin in August and be completed by March 2021. The upgrade will benefit communities and the environment by reducing the energy used by our streetlights by 60%, improving the quality of the lighting and reducing light pollution.
