Modern Slavery Awareness Session (online) - Thursday 18 April

Policing colleagues from the Specialist Crime Team are hosting events under their SOC Fusion work which encourages and facilitates a partnership approach to tackling Serious & Organised Crime. They are hosting awareness-raising Knowledge Events quarterly this year, for frontline staff but also anyone who would like to better understand the signs and symptoms that we can be aware of in our communities, and how best to work with police to tackle these issues.

 

These events are all 2:30pm – 4pm on Teams:

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.

 

 

 

Executive Decisions Taken Since Wednesday 10 April 2024

In accordance with the Access to Information Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution, any executive decision shall be published normally within five days of being made.  That record will bear the date on which it is published and will specify that the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of 5 working days after the publication of the decision, unless called in for review by the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee or by any five other councillors.

Greater Cambridge Housing Trajectory and Housing Land Supply Report

That the Lead Cabinet Member for Planning agrees:

A)       the Greater Cambridge Housing Trajectory and Housing Land Supply Report (Appendix 1 of this decision) to be published on the Councils’ shared planning service website.

 

B)       to delegate any further minor editing changes to the Greater Cambridge Housing Trajectory and Housing Land Supply Report to the Joint Director for Planning and Economic Development where they are technical matters.

 

This decision was first taken on 10 April and so the deadline for call-in is 17 April.

Peer Review Action Plan

A)       Cabinet approved the action plan in Appendix 1 to the report.

B)       Cabinet further agreed that progress against the plan would be reported alongside the quarterly Key Performance Indicators until complete.

 

This decision was first published on Tuesday 16 April and so the deadline for call-in is Tuesday 23 April.

Proposed administration of the Northstowe Community Activation Grant Fund on behalf of Homes England, criteria and award process

Cabinet:

A)       Approved the Council administering Homes England’s Activation Grant Fund as set out in paragraphs 8-10 of the report.

B)       Approved the scheme criteria and guidance for the Community Activation Fund as set out in Appendix A to the report.

Low-income Family Tracker (LIFT)

Cabinet agreed:

A)       Purchasing a two-year license for the Low-Income Family Tracker platform at a cost of £53,000.

B)       Employing an additional two-year fixed term Development Officer, at a total cost of £104,000, to manage and maintain the system and coordinate projects across the Council.

C)       A budget of £30,000 to support the benefits take up campaign with direct mailshots.

Cabinet agreed the revised Homes for Ukraine Landlord Incentive Scheme Policy, as set out in Appendix A to the report.
