2.

M11 northbound junction 9a - bridge joint replacement

National Highways plan to carry out urgent bridge joint replacement work on the M11 northbound at junction 9a to ensure the M11 continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.

 

They plan to complete this work over five nights between Monday 29 April and Friday 3 May 2024. They will work between 9pm and 5am on weeknights only, weather conditions permitting.

 

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, National Highways will need to close the M11 northbound at junction 9A between the exit and entry slip, and divert traffic as detailed below:

 

·         Traffic will be diverted off at junction 9a via the exit slip before rejoining the M11 / A11 via the entry slip.

Zero Carbon Communities Grant Scheme

The Zero Carbon Communities grant scheme has re-opened for applications (closing 2 June 2024). Grants of up to £15,000 are available to parish councils and community groups for projects that reduce carbon emissions or achieve wider community engagement around climate change. On 4 March 2024 the Council has received the following nomination:

The Council has made a decision to include the land/buildings on the list of Assets of Community Value and will amend the asset register accordingly.

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.
