Acting Commissioner announces increase in policing part of council tax in line with Government expectation

 

PEOPLE living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough can expect to pay an extra 83p per month towards police funding in their 2020/21 council tax bills (based on a Band D property), following a decision made by the county’s Police and Crime Panel today (Thursday 6th February).

SCDC Subscription to Local Government Chronicle

We now have an organisation wide subscription for the Local Government Chronicle, which any member of staff or Councillor can access using their SCDC email address.

 

The LGC contains a wide range of articles and information on all things local government, from climate change to community cohesion, so should be a useful resource for anyone planning policy review, or just those who want to keep in touch with the latest goings on this sector.

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.

In accordance with the Access to Information Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution, any executive decision shall be published normally within five days of being made.  That record will bear the date on which it is published and will specify that the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of 5 working days after the publication of the decision, unless called in for review by the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee or by any five other councillors.

Greening of South Cambridgeshire Hall

Cabinet

 

a)    Reviewed the Investment Grade Proposal (IGP) key points contained within the report and the IGP Executive Summary document at Appendix A;

b)    Approved the full business case detailed within the report and Appendix A;

c)    Approved the progression of the project to the implementation phase.

Proposed fees and charges: April 2020

Cabinet

 

a)    Approved the fees and charges as detailed in Appendix B of the report to take effect from 1 April 2020 (unless otherwise stated) or the earliest feasible date thereafter.

 

b)    Noted the proposed variations to fees and charges in comparison to the prevailing inflation rate detailed in the report.

 

c)    Delegated to Heads of Service, following consultation with Lead Cabinet Members, authority to vary charges or introduce new charges during the course of the year where it is considered essential to do so in order to maintain income levels, improve the service offer to users and/or where opportunities arise to increase income.
