Thursday 23 July, Times: Independent report lays bare permitted development consequences

A report commissioned by the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government has revealed that property developers have used new freedoms to convert buildings into homes without the need for planning permission to create flats that are no bigger than sheds, with only 3.5 per cent of properties having access to private outdoor space.
