Virtual Briefing by Acting Policy and Crime and Commissioner

The Acting Police and Crime Commissioner, Ray Bisby is offering a second virtual briefing session for parish, town and city councillors in the Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire area on Wednesday 2 September from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

 

The virtual briefings are an opportunity to receive an update on community safety initiatives in your area and to speak to the Commissioner about local issues which are pertinent to residents.

 

A local police officer from Cambridgeshire Constabulary will also attend to respond to any operational questions where appropriate.

 

Please email cambs-pcc@cambs.pnn.police.uk if you are a parish, town or city council representative who would like to join this meeting and a Microsoft Teams invite will be sent to you.

 

4.

Webinar and Guide on Climate Change by Centre of Public Scrutiny

The Centre for Public Scrutiny has provided councils with a guide to combat climate change at a local level. The resource sets out 10 scrutiny questions to embed the necessary environmental, social and cultural changes that communities need to see to build resilience to response to climate challenges such as investment strategies and transport plans.

 

Two new webinars also aim to help councillors sitting on scrutiny committees, and the officers who support them, take steps to ensure responses to the pandemic correlate with their council’s climate action plans. Both of the below are free events, and will take place on 18 September:

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.

 

 

 

Executive Decisions Taken Since Wednesday ...

In accordance with the Access to Information Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution, any executive decision shall be published normally within five days of being made.  That record will bear the date on which it is published and will specify that the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of 5 working days after the publication of the decision, unless called in for review by the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee or by any five other councillors.
