Please find attachedroad closures information for the week commencing Monday 4 January in relation to the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme.

M11 junction 11 Mill Bridge: bridge maintenance pdf icon PDF 429 KB

Essential maintenance work on the M11 junction 11, Mill Bridge will take place over2 weekends from Friday 15 January to Monday 18 January and Friday 22 January to Monday 25 January, subject to weather conditions.

 

Phase 1: M11 Mill bridge, north bridge closure, starting Friday 15 January 8pm to Monday 18 January 6am

 

  • Traffic on the A10 / Cambridge Road will be diverted via the A505 at Royston, before joining the A1301 to head towards Trumpington. (Diagram 1)

 

  • Traffic from the A10 wanting to travel on the M11 southbound at junction 11, will be diverted northbound on the M11 to junction 12, A603 roundabout before returning southbound on the M11 to continue your journey.  (Diagram 2)

 

  • Traffic wanting to leave the M11 for Cambridge will stay on the M11 to junction 12, A603 roundabout before re-joining the M11 southbound to exit at junction 11 to join the A1309 / Hauxton Road.  (Diagram 2)

 

Phase 2: M11 Mill bridge, south bridge closure, starting Friday 22 January 8pm to Monday 25 January 6am

 

  • Traffic on the A1309 / Hauxton Road wishing to join the A10 will be diverted via the A1301, A505 westbound before joining the A10 at Royston. (Diagram 3)

 

  • Traffic from the A1309 / Hauxton Road wishing travel northbound on the M11 will be diverted southbound to junction 10 to turn around and continue their journey northbound. (Diagram 4)

 

  • Traffic wanting to leave the M11 for the A10 southbound from Trumpington will be diverted via the M11 junction 10 and return northbound to exit at junction 11 onto the A10.  (Diagram 4)

 

Please be aware while each side of the bridge is closed, there will be lane closures in place on the other side of the bridge for safety reasons however, this will still be open to motorists.

M11 northbound junction 14 exit slip: resurfacing

Essential resurfacing work at Junction 14 of the M11 will be completed over 2 weeks from Monday 11 January to Friday 22 January weeknights only, working between the hours of 9pm to 5am, subject to weather conditions.

 

To ensure the safety of the workforce, hard shoulder closures will be in place as well as a temporary 40mph speed limit on the M11 at this location.

M11 northbound junction 14 exit slip starting Monday11 January to Friday 22 January (2 weeks)

 

M11 northbound traffic will be diverted onto the A14 to turn around at junction 25 and follow the A14 slip road towards Ely/A10/Newmarket to continue on the A14 eastbound carriageway. (Diagram 1)

 

More work will be carried out at this location later in the year.

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.
