2.

Zero Carbon Communities Grant

The Zero Carbon Communities Grant Scheme supports communities in South Cambridgeshire to take action on climate change at a very local level.

 

Applications this year are invited for projects under the three themes:

  1. Community buildings
  2. Tree Planting/Nature
  3. Other projects which reduce carbon emissions

 

The deadline for applications to be received by the Council is 5pm on Friday 30 July 2021.

 

You can read about the local projects we have already funded through the Zero Carbon Communities Grant scheme and watch a recording of our recent workshop on 'How to make a successful Zero Carbon Communities grant application'.

Community Right to Bid - Assets of Community Value

The Council has made the following decision and will amend the asset register accordingly:

 

Sluice Woods, Little Abington  – The Council has approved the listing of Sluice Woods as an Asset of Community Value until 25 June 2026.

To view the list of planning applications that have recently been submitted to the Council, please visit the authority’s on-line Planning Application Search. 

 

The system will provide a range of information on current and decided applications since 1948, including a brief description of the development, reference number, decision and the date of decision.  More recent applications show the name and telephone number of the council officer who is dealing with the application.

 

Search results are presented in a collection of pages, the number of which depends on the number of results your search produces.  There are navigation tools to allow you to browse your results.

 

 

 

Executive Decisions Taken Since Wednesday 23 July 2021

In accordance with the Access to Information Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution, any executive decision shall be published normally within five days of being made.  That record will bear the date on which it is published and will specify that the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of 5 working days after the publication of the decision, unless called in for review by the Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee or by any five other councillors.

Greater Cambridge Housing Strategy Annexes

The Lead Cabinet Member for Housing agreed to approve the Greater Cambridge Housing Strategy Annexes. Please note that on 3 February 2021 Cabinet approved the policy, with authority delegated to the Lead Cabinet Member for Housing to agree minor amendments, if any, arising from public consultation.

 

This decision was first published on Tuesday 29 June and so the deadline for call-in is 5pm on Tuesday 6 July.

The Lead Cabinet Member for Finance agreed to accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee.
