"On Your Doorstep" - Promoting Local Businesses South Cambridgeshire District Council have launched a ‘On your Doorstep’ social media campaign to help showcase local shops, hospitality, businesses, attractions and outdoor spaces- providing residents with inspiration for different activities and treats that can also help to support the local economy. Thursday 30 September, Guardian: 100,000 renters in England “risk eviction” when universal credit is cut According to the housing charity Crisis has warned that at least 100,000 renting households will be placed at risk of eviction when the Government’s planned £20-a-week cut to universal credit takes effect next week.
Saturday 2 October, The Metro: LGA warns council tax income cannot meet £8bn extra cost pressures by 2024/25 The LGA has warned that Council Tax income would need to rise by a quarter over the next three years to pay for the extra £8 billion cost and demand pressures to keep local services running at today’s levels.

Agreed the joint response with Cambridge City Council to the Government’s Creating a Vision Oxford-Cambridge Arc Consultation as set out in Appendix 1 and giving delegated authority to the Joint Director of Planning and Economic Development, in liaison with the Lead Cabinet Member for Planning Policy and Delivery to make minor amendments.
