The Licensing
Committee is one of the Council’s Regulatory Committees,
which are bodies which have decision-making powers and report to
full Council. Membership is decided at Annual Council. Further details about the responsibilities of each
Regulatory Committee are available in
Part 2: Article 8
and
Part 3 of the
Constitution.
This committee
considers applications for licences such as public entertainment,
street trading and hackney carriage / private hire (Taxis).
Licensing Committee meetings are scheduled as needed and the public
or any petitioners for or against an application are welcome, but
will be asked to leave the room during deliberations.
