Due regard has been given to the Licensing Act 2003, accompanying Guidance and Regulations, South Cambridgeshire District Council Licensing Policy, and to written and verbal representations received from the applicant, the Council’s Environmental Health Officer, and from members of the public who had submitted relevant representations.
On the basis of these considerations, and in furtherance of the licensing objective of preventing public nuisance, the Sub-Committee decided to GRANT the application for a Premises Licence to permit the activities for the related hours as outlined in the table above, subject to the condition below:
No more than two indoor and/or outdoor/marquee events involving the performance of live and/or recorded music and the sale for consumption of alcohol on the premises, whether in the pavilion or in the open air/marquee, will be permitted per calendar month excluding the annual August village show.
Local residents may apply for a review of the Licence on a ground relating to one or more of the licensing objectives should there be any relevant issues arising from the operation of the Licence at any stage after the date of this decision notice. The Sub-Committee hope that local residents will feel able to bring any future concerns directly to the attention of the Applicant in an effort to reach an amicable solution to any future problems. The four licensing objectives are: the Prevention of Crime and Disorder; Prevention of Public Nuisance; Public Safety; and Protection of Children from Harm.
The applicant and objectors have a right of appeal to the Cambridge Magistrates’ Court within 21 days of receiving notification of this decision.
