Consultees

The proposal to revise the boundaries of the Teversham Conservation Area was subject to period of public consultation, which included the Parish Council and Local Member.  Support for the extensions of the Conservation Area was received from the Parish Council and while the Parish Council also agreed with the removal of the modern housing on Lady Jermy Way from the Conservation Area, they wished to see the houses fronting Church Road retained within the Conservation Area.  A report was considered by the Conservation Advisory Group at its meeting on 26 April 2006.  The Conservation Advisory Group supported the recommendation to revise the boundaries of the Conservation Area at Teversham in accordance with the revised proposals set out in the report to the Conservation Advisory Group (including the retention of the front gardens and dwellings at 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33 Church Rd and 1 Lady Jermy Way within the boundaries of the Conservation Area) and supported the approval of the draft Design Guidance and its adoption as Council Policy (subject to incorporating the changes outlined in the report presented to the Conservation Advisory Group).
