The purpose of this decision is to consider awarding a further £40 to Linton Action for Youth for the repair of the roof at the drop in centre, which facilitates youth work.

A typo in the report presented to the Finance and Staffing Portfolio Holder on 16 May 2017 meant that the amount considered was less than the amount applied for.  The group was awarded £400 on 16 May.

To award Linton Action for Youth a further £40 towards the repair of the roof at the drop in centre, which facilitates youth work.

Grants are awarded on a first come first served basis, there is sufficient funding remaining in the pot and the amount previously awarded was less than requested due to a typo in the report rather than a conscious decision to award an amount that was less than was requested.

Option One: To refuse to grant fund the additional £40 to Linton Action for Youth.

Reason for rejection: The Community Chest is awarded on a first come first served basis, there is sufficient funding remaining in the pot and the amount previously awarded at the meeting was decided upon based on a typo in the report rather than a conscious decision to award an amount that was less than was requested.(£440 was requested).
