The purpose of this decision is to consider awarding a further £112.40 to The Thriplow Society for the purchase of display boards and stands.

An updated cost breakdown had been submitted by the applicant that was not included in the report presented to the Finance and Staffing Portfolio Holder on 18 July 2017. This meant that the amount considered was less than the amount applied for. The group was awarded £380 on 18 June.

To award The Thriplow Society a further £112.40 for the purchase of display boards and stands.

Grants are awarded on a first come first served basis, there is sufficient funding remaining in the post and the amount previously awarded was less than requested due an updated cost breakdown not being included the report rather than a conscious decision to award an amount that was less than was requested.

Option One: To refuse to grant fund the additional £112.40 to The Thriplow Society.

Reason for rejection: The community Chest is awarded on a first come first served basis, there is sufficient funding remaining in the pot and the amount previously awarded at the meeting was decided upon incomplete information in the report rather than a conscious decision to award an amount that was less than was requested (£492.40).
