Purpose:
On 21 June 2018 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed all Community Energy grant applications that were received between 1 March 2018 and 31 May 2018.
Following consideration of the applications, the Committee made the following recommendations to the Finance Portfolio Holder:

Following Grants Advisory Committee officers became aware that the amount requested by Milton Community Centre should have included 20% for VAT. The actual amount requested was therefore £1,424.40.

Reasons for the decision:
Grants are awarded on a first come first served basis and there is sufficient funding remaining in the budget. All applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory Committee. An error resulted in a lesser than requested amount being considered by Grants Advisory Committee for Milton Community Centre.
Alternative options considered:
To reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee and make a decision regarding the level of funding (£0 - £3,000) to be awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is required from grant applicants.
