10/01/2014 - S/1427/13/FL - Ickleton (Norman Hall, 21 Church St)

The Committee approved the application contrary to the recommendation contained in the report from the Planning and New Communities Director.  Members considered that the condition of the wall and the non-traditional nature of some of the repairs carried out previously, prevented them from identifying sufficient harm in planning terms as would justify a refusal.  Members agreed that a further reason for approval should be the lack of any significant adverse impact on the character of Norman Hall and e wider ConservationArea,

05/04/2013 - S/0167/13/FL- Ickleton (Land Adj. 20 Church Street)

The Committee refused the application contrary to the recommendation in the report from the Planning and New Communities Director.  Members agreed the reasons for refusal as being the design of the dwelling and its detrimental impact on the two Listed Buildings at 20 Church Street and 1 Frogge Street, the Conservation Area as a whole, and the design and layout of the dwelling and its detrimental impact upon the amenities of neighbours at Nos. 20 and 28 Church Street and No. 10 Butchers Hill.

08/03/2013 - S/1664/12/FL - Ickleton (66 Abbey Street)

The Committee refused the application contrary to the recommendation in the report from the Planning and New Communities Director.  Members noted that the original planning consent for the annexe had been subject to a Section 106 Legal Agreement requiring the annexe to be used or occupied only as part of the main dwelling and not as a separate dwelling.  They agreed that the reasons for refusal should be that there was no justification for dispensing with that requirement as the separated house would be out of character with the area.  Additionally, the main dwelling would be left with insufficient garden space.

10/04/2012 - S/2484/11 - Ickleton (Norman Hall)

The Committee approved the application contrary to the recommendation contained in the report from the Corporate Manager (Planning and New Communities). Members agreed the reason for approval as being that the proposed dwelling, by virtue of its scale, proportions and design, does not adversely impact on the setting of the Grade II listed Norman Hall, does not harm the setting or character of the Conservation Area, and has no adverse impact on the amenity, tranquillity and function of the village.
