Staff Mileage Rates 2007/08

To approve the implementation of revised car allowances in accordance with the annual increase in rates applied by the National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC).

 

The car allowances are reviewed each year (April) by the NJC and, after consideration of petrol pump prices, are uplifted using a jointly agreed formula for calculating allowances.  The new allowances are then provided to local authority employers.  The new allowances as shown on the attached document are presented to the Portfolio Holder for approval.  The new rates apply to all staff.
