Please note that the Constitution requires that when considering any decision in respect of which a member of the Committee is subject to a party whip, the member must declare the existence of the whip. Under the Code of Conduct, any Councillor who has a personal or prejudicial interest should declare this at the meeting. A member of a Task and Finish Group or Panel, but not a Sub Group of the Scrutiny Committee, which has discussed an item that is now being scrutinised, cannot participate in that debate as a member of the Committee nor vote.

It was proposed by Councillor JA Hockney, seconded by Councillor Mrs EM Heazell and, there being no other nominations, RESOLVED that Councillor JD Batchelor be elected Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee for the 2009-2010 Civic Year. 

It was proposed by Councillor JD Batchelor, seconded by Councillor R Hall and, there being no other nominations, RESOLVED that Councillor JA Hockney be appointed Vice-Chairman of the Scrutiny and Overview Committee for the 2009-2010 Civic Year. 

To make one appointment. 

It was proposed by Councillor JA Hockney, seconded by Councillor JD Batchelor and, there being no other nominations, RESOLVED that Councillor R Hall be appointed as the Council’s representative on the Cambridgeshire County Council Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee for the 2009-2010 Civic Year. 

To make one appointment. 

It was proposed by Councillor JD Batchelor, seconded by Councillor JA Hockney and, there being no other nominations, RESOLVED that Councillor Mrs EM Heazell be appointed as the Council’s representative on the Local Area Agreement Joint Accountability Committee for the 2009-2010 Civic Year.
